Membership

We’re advancing health equity for people with disabilities.

Join us by becoming a member with the American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD). AAHD is dedicated to ensuring health equity for children and adults with disabilities through policy, research, education and knowledge dissemination. We advocate for full community inclusion and health care access at the national, state and community level. We are the only national organization specifically dedicated to bringing disability into the public health agenda.

What does it mean to be an AAHD member?

Our membership program helps support essential work improving policy and research to improve the lives of people with disabilities. We are building capacity to support the broad field of disability and health, from our Scholarship Program for emerging scholars to our knowledge translation work. We are active in policy coalitions changing our national health landscape. We are creating educational tools to empower community advocates, health providers, caregivers, and researchers with the information they need to improve policies and practices for good health. Our weekly newsletters and outreach showcase the high-quality work that AAHD staff produce every day. AAHD welcomes your support  and partnership so we may continue to do this important work in the coming years. Please consider joining AAHD as a member as we co-create a pathway to advance the health of people with disabilities.

  • Digital access to the Medline indexed Disability and Health Journal (quarterly)
