AAHD National Dissemination Center

The American Association on Health and Disability  (AAHD) is a national leader in strategic information dissemination in the field of disability and health.

Due to our extensive cross-disability networks  with state health departments, federal agencies, national disability organizations, policymakers, disability researchers, health care professionals, service providers and people with disabilities, AAHD has received funds from both private and public entities to provide Technical Assistance (TA) and utilize strategic information dissemination strategies to reach their audiences, both nationally and statewide.

These information and knowledge translation strategies utilize print, electronic and social media platforms.  AAHD believes that strategic information dissemination can improve health outcomes, increase informed decision-making and recognize the importance of research and its impact on improving public policy.  AAHD has created a basic standard of high quality as a performance goal for information disseminated through our multiple networks and communication channels.
