Affordable Care Act Supports States in Strengthening Community Living

Nationally, $4.3 billion in new funds announced to help establish and expand community-based alternatives to institutional long term care (February 22, 2011). Read press release. On May 2, 2011, AAHD joined 48 other national organizations, led by the American Heart Association, advocating maintencance of grants to the states to establish health benefit exchanges.
