The Patients with Disabilities as Teachers (P-DAT)

The Patients with Disabilities as Teachers (P-DAT) program, a medical education approach for medical students, residents and other healthcare providers to provide training in disability awareness and etiquette, taught by patients with disabilities, a parent of a child with disabilities, a physician who is blind and community advocacy members in the context of culturally sensitive care.
