Secondary Conditions
For purposes of the website, we have defined secondary condition as a condition that results from a specific type of primary disability, birth defect or medical condition. Examples of secondary conditions are pressure sores, bowel/bladder challenges, depression. In some situations, the distinction between a primary and secondary condition is vague, so the AAHD staff encourage the viewers to the site to look at both primary and secondary conditions links.
As part of AAHD’s commitment to provide quality and valuable information on our website listed in the National Resource Center on Health Promotion and Wellness for People with Disabilities, this page has been created to easily link to information on our website.
Please highlight the secondary condition for which you are seeking information. If you do not see the information you are hoping to identify, please type in OTHER or go to the Search Engine.
Send an email to contact@aahd.us if there is information on a secondary condition that we have inadvertently missed.
